Museum

Allegra and welcome

The historic house Chà Gronda on Plaz in the historic lower village, Scuol Sot, is worth a visit itself. The patrician house, built around 1700, has housed the lower Engadine Valley Museum since 1963.

The tour through the numerous rooms of the house gives an impression of the simple way of life of our ancestors, a rural population dependent on self-sufficiency. The museum also includes an exhibition on prehistoric finds in the lower Engadine, as well as a museum library with works of Romance literature from the first bible translation to the present day.

Special Exhibition: Every year a newly designed special exhibition deals with a regionally important topic.
