The museum library

The museum library contains a large number of books from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

Men Rauch, the main initiator and major sponsor of the Museum d'Engiadina Bassa, has given it his book collection as the basis for the museum library. The focus of the collection is on Romance literature from the first Bible translations to the present day, especially the works that were printed in the Scuol and Strada book printers in the Lower Engadine.

Other focal points are regional topics, as well as literature on balneology and the national park. The library can be seen during the museum's normal opening hours and during the guided tours. Visits outside of these opening times can be arranged with the responsible librarian. Borrowing is not possible.
